Introversion and the Gifted

Lisa Rivero has found a fascinating article on introverts in Psychology today, and written a response in her blog. While many ideas are in close agreement with those of Lesley Sword in her article on Gifted Introverts, there are some new ideas, and the proportions of introverts and extraverts in society are reported quite differently. (An HTML version of Lesley Sword’s article is here).

As many gifted children are introverts, being well-informed about this can help us to meet their social and emotional needs, and to understand their motivations and ways of processing ideas as well as their social styles.
